Bible-Believing & Bible-Teaching

Redeeming Grace Church is a church in Pittsburgh that strives to be thoroughly biblical. We are a Bible-believing church in the sense that we look to the Bible as the basis for all of our beliefs, and we are a Bible-teaching church in that our pastor teaches through specific passages of the Bible on Sundays.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation. And since God cannot make mistakes, it follows that the Bible does not speak with error in any of its teachings nor in the events it records. It is a perfect guide for what we should believe and how we should live.

The Bible is also our church's primary “playbook” with regard to what a church that pleases God should look like. Our primary concern in approaching church ministry is not discovering the latest fads or catering to shifting popular opinions. Rather, it is making sure that our church is healthy according to biblical standards.

Of course, we never want to be detached from our culture in the sense that we are unaware of what is happening or ignorant of cultural trends. However, we want to be faithful to the Bible in the way we approach those events and trends. We maintain the conviction that it is never appropriate to change our beliefs apart from biblical warrant.

The Bible contains timeless truths that are relevant for every generation. Therefore, if our church wants to be culturally relevant to our context in Pittsburgh, the most important thing we can do is maintain fidelity to the Bible.
