Awana is our midweek discipleship program for kids from kindergarten to 6th grade that meets weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm. At Awana, we provide meaningful discipleship that equips children with the truth of God's Word. We do this by providing a large group Bible lesson for each club, small group activities where the children focus on Scripture memorization, and an activity time where the kids enjoy games and fellowship.
The name "Awana" is an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed,” which comes from the key verse: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15, ESV). At Awana, we develop resilient disciples who love studying God’s Word to deepen their relationship with Him.
Awana is broken up into two groups, and all of our activities and lessons for the evening have been tailored to each age group: Sparks (K-2nd Grade) and T&T (3rd-6th Grade).
All of our Awana leaders have gone through appropriate background checks and follow carefully-designed church policies related to the care of children.
